My passion for caring for the elderly began long before I ever dreamed of opening an Adult Family Home — it started in Ethiopia, as a young girl helping to care for my grandfather. He was the heart of our family and a source of wisdom and strength. Even as a child, I took great pride in tending to his needs — helping him move, preparing meals, and simply being present with him.
In my culture, elders are deeply respected — they are the foundation of the family, and caring for them is both a responsibility and a privilege. Those early experiences taught me what it means to serve with compassion, dignity, and love. They shaped not only my values but also the path my life would take.
Today, as the owner and operator of Heal Adult Family Home, I carry those lessons with me every day. This home is a place where residents are treated like family — where their independence is supported, their safety is prioritized, and their lives are enriched with warmth, respect, and care. We serve elderly individuals, including those with developmental delays, memory loss, and those needing hospice care, always with a commitment to nourishing both body and spirit.
Heal Adult Family Home is more than a business to me — it’s the fulfillment of a lifelong calling that began in childhood. Providing care in this way isn’t just what I do — it’s who I am.
